Dr. Helene Schlecht is the lead clinical scientist for cancer genomics at the North West Genomic Laboratory Hub, based at Manchester University, NHS Foundation Trust.
She has >20 years experience working in a genomic diagnostic laboratory working across rare disease and cancer sections. The last few years she has focused on delivery of large NGS tumour panels detecting potential targetable variants in a large range of tumour types. More recently Helene has also been involved in introducing circulating tumour DNA NGS panel testing into routine diagnostic testing in the UK.
